At present, commonly used battery connectors have two types of ejector pins and dome connectors. The battery connector used in a large number of mobile phones is a thimble type and has the following advantages compared with a snap-type battery connector.

Compared with the same size shrapnel type connector, the thimble type connector has a large amount of compression and stable contact

Remarks: The working situation in the figure above: width dimension 2.5mm, station position 4.0mm;

Remark: The ejector battery connector has a more effective working compression than the spring type, ensuring the stability of the contact.

Comparing the ejector with the same compression amount and the shrapnel type, the ejector connector takes up less PCB board space.

Note: When the working position is 4mm and the compression amount is 1mm, the ejector pin connector occupies less PCB board space. The body can be thin and compact.

Touch position stability

When it is compressed, the position of the contact point of the ejector pin connector does not change, and a stable connection point can be maintained and stable electrical performance can be obtained.

Multiple compression durability

The ejector pin type is 20,000 times, and the elastic plate type is 5,000 times. The durability of the ejector battery connector is stronger than that of the elastic plate type. The shape of the plastic colloid and the combination of the ejector pin can be set freely, so the design freedom is more prominent.

Through the above comparative analysis, the ejector connector has many advantages over the shrapnel type: it can make full use of the PCB board space; the ejector connector can ensure a very high initial contact pressure and is stable when compared with the conventional shrapnel connector. Contact pressure; thimble connector has a higher working life than snap-on connectors; design freedom is high. In the future new model design, it is recommended that the battery connector use a thimble battery connector.
